The South West Alliance of Rural Health (SWARH) is seeking to appoint a motivated, qualified and experienced ICT professional for the position of SWARH Infrastructure Manager.
SWARH is a virtual organisation within the south west of Victoria, Australia covering 60000 sq kms from Melbourne to the South Australian border, from the coast to 150 kilometres inland. SWARH services all the ICT requirements of its 50 or more members and customers. SWARH members comprise of public hospitals with customers being non-government organisations, community health centres, bush nursing agencies, medical clinics, pharmacies and other government organisations.
SWARH has over 180 connected sites covering more than 50 agencies with a member operating revenue exceeding $0.5 billion.
The SWARH office has 60 FTE with a operating revenue of $20 million per annum.
The SWARH Infrastructure Manager will be responsible to the SWARH Executive Officer for the planning, management, establishment and maintenance of best practice ICT infrastructure and for the support and delivery of critical business services across the SWARH region.
This responsibility includes:
- the communications strategy supporting LAN, WAN, telephony, video and data services;
- the processing management strategy which recognises the role of virtualisation, load balancing and resilience;
- the data risk management strategy which targets zero downtime for critical systems and automated service backup and recovery.
The successful applicant will have:
- experience in managing the delivery of ICT infrastructure services in a complex multi-site environment;
- experience in managing a diverse range of in-sourced and outsourced staff resources;
- a record of success in working with and managing people, and in the effective achievement of stated objectives; and have tertiary qualifications in both Management and Technology with:
- extensive knowledge of best practice technology and its strategic deployment;
- extensive knowledge of information systems and processes and their role in a modern organisation;
- extensive knowledge of risk: measurement, management and mitigation.
This is a senior permanent position with a remuneration of approximately $100K per annum and a salary package to be negotiated.
