A leading international chemical manufacturing company have engaged Judd Farris to source an experienced Production Technician to join their growing team on their $1billion operation in the Bowen Basin. Our client is currently near there end of construction phase and are turning operational at the beginning of 2012. This Production Technician role is a residential role with the successful candidate and there family being able to choose their brand new home from  6 floor plans.

 

Reporting directly into the Production Team Leader you will be responsible for the critical review of equipment performance and the improvement of the availability and capability of that equipment up to the requirements of the business plan.  This is to be achieved by working with Maintenance and Production Teams against all key drivers of Safety, Environment, Volume and Asset Management. 

 

 

The Role

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations
  • Participation in departmental safety program
  • Continued training to pass competency assessments
  • Competent in use of communications systems
  • Monitor plant condition and act if necessary
  • Successful operation of relevant plant to produce product and effluent streams within specifications
  • Participate in execution of start up and shutdown of plant when required
  • Preparation of equipment for scheduled or ad hoc maintenance
  • Carry out minor maintenance when deemed competent to do so
  • Administer basic tests to assist process control
  • Ensure quality and service standards are achieved
  • Pro-active approach to any plant defects identified

 

The Candidate

Technical: Computer literate particularly in Word, Excel and SAP an advantage

Tertiary qualification (Engineering ) degree is ESSENTIAL for this role

Previous experience in a chemical or power station environment would be highly regarded
